My dad and his mom.
My dad and his mom.
My dad with Charlton Heston.
Unknown boxer.
My dad.
On a bull.
My dad’s post card from camp.
“Would you please send some money up for us? Don and John are getting low, I have a dollar left, should we get off at Gradiot and 7 Mile, are you bringing my geck (????) up Sunday
Love Davie”
My sister adds: ” The stain on dad’s jacket is from Ethel Kennedy spilling her drink on him. It was before presidential candidates had secret service and so they asked dad and the other reporters on that press junket to help escort them through the crowds at the rally. And Ethel got jostled and spilled. :) I love that Bobby has a lollipop in his hand.”
This is the crown jewel of the collection. That’s my dad with Bobby Kennedy. This picture was taken just before Bobby Kennedy’s trip to California. For me this represents my dad’s passion for politics, his interest in people and making the world a better place. He has always been involved with his community, city and country. I’m proud to have this picture.
My dad with Bob Dole.
My dad and two women I don’t know. I think that’s the church parking lot in Penasquitos.
